Wow, what a great night! Very hectic getting everything set up and greeting our guest speakers from four different organisations. Not to mention welcoming all existing members and guests. Mike Briant from Mission Motorsport
Mike spoke to us about the amazing work that Mission Motorsport do to help wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans to recover from their physical and/or mental injuries sustained during armed conflict.
Geoff Meade, former Sky News defence correspondent and now freelance media journalist for British Forces News
Geoff entertained us about his many experiences of reporting on armed conflicts around the world, from Belfast to Baghdad and beyond.
Steve Maguire from Ride To The Wall
Steve outlined the history and purpose of the annual Ride To The Wall, which takes place on the first Saturday of October every year. To date, they have donated over £280,000 to the National Memorial Arboretum. Their next donation will be made on Saturday 28 June 2014.
Mark Lamplough and Eddie Hodgkiss from Bike Tours for The Wounded
These guys need volunteer riders to take wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans on motorcycle tours in the USA and beyond. Please get in touch if you would like to change a life.
