We enjoyed another good turn out for the AGM, with over 30-members coming along to vote for the nominations. I am delighted to inform you that everyone was successfully re-elected and will continue for a further 12-months until the next AGM on 14 March 2016.
The group then heard from Mr Dave Shenton, Head of Field Operations, IAM Head Office, who took questions directly from the audience. Dave provided us with very detailed answers to the questions he was asked. The key message that he wanted to get across is that he feels more comfortable and confident being a part of IAM HQ than he has done at any time over the last 30-years. He has a really good feeling about the senior leaders and the direction the IAM is going in, which is from strength to strength. With a NEW CEO now in place, now is the time to be a member of the UK’s largest and most influential road safety organisation.
This is to be the last club night at The Royal Oak for a while, as we move back to The Meadows Inn from April 2015 onwards. My thanks go to all staff at The Royal Oak for their support and hospitality whilst we have been with them.
