On Sunday 13 April 2014, 30 people on 23 bikes attended another annual Easter Egg run to Derby Children’s Hospital. We donated lots of chocolate eggs and gifts to the poorly children, which certainly brought a huge smile to their faces. The hospital staff were extremely grateful to us yet again for another successful event. Our visit was documented by the Derby Telegraph newspaper, who promised to publicise the day during the following week.
It was a pleasure to welcome non-IAM riders to the event, who were experiencing the IAM for their very first time. We were able to recruit several new members who will be working towards their advanced riding qualification throughout this year. We all had a splendid day out, which also included a cross-country ride to the National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas.
