Wow, what an amazing club night we enjoyed last night! My thanks to everyone who came along to make it such a success, especially to our special guest speaker, IAM examiner Mr Roy Stevenson.No doubt at all that everyobody in that room learned something new and enjoyed some of Roy’s tales as well.
Over 50 people came along (58), making last night the highest turnout we have had during my time as your Chairman. I am so proud of our club and it is a huge honour to be leading such a magnificent group of people. Everyone is very highly motivated at the moment. Our great club is going from strength-to-strength, and YOU are the reason behind that success.
In the audience, we welcomed IAM members from other clubs, non-IAM members who came to see what we are all about, and our very special friends from Derby RoSPA. Our relationship with RoSPA is now stronger than ever, and I will continue to work hard to make this relationship last for many years to come. Please join me in making them feel very welcome whenever we invite them to our events, and I would hope that we can accept their invitations in due course.
